Overseer Carl Brown

Carl Anthony Brown was born in Miami, Florida. His wife, Marina T. Brown, was born in Tokyo, Japan. Carl and Marina have two sons at home, Micah and Mark, and five children in Columbia, Missouri.

Carl graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in 1997 and his first call was to plant churches in the Memphis, Tennessee, area. Carl has planted two churches and has helped develop two other church plants. He was commissioned by the Lutheran Church Mid-South District to plant a church in Antioch, Tennessee. After six months, the mother congregation of the Antioch mission called Carl to help develop Spirit of Joy in Murfreesboro. Carl was on staff to develop Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church for approximately 15 months, at which time God called Carl, in September of 2007, to Victory Christian Center in partnership with Cam Bivens, Paul Smith, and Adam Swanson.
